New Year, New Goals

We’re just slightly over a month into 2018 and, despite January feeling like it lasted just a tad too long, there is no doubt that the new year will be full of changes.  As February begins, I’ve started thinking of some goals that I would like to accomplish this year.

About a year ago I started Lilac & Honey in hopes of  finding a new way to connect with others and showcase my love and passion for writing. However, a few months after its creation, I found myself becoming overwhelmed with other obstacles I had going on in my life. Some I wrote about, others I kept to myself. But as I’m almost 5 weeks into the new year, I find myself craving the change I know 2018 will bring.

While I’m not one for staying up on January 1st and writing down a list of New Year’s resolutions, I do find myself gradually throughout the year coming up with things I would like to see myself achieve before the year’s end.

So far, my top goal for this year is to get re-connected with my blog and the community of bloggers around me. Some other goals I have set include:

  • Regularly working out (at least 4 times a week)
  • Putting more effort into networking with others
  • Spending more time doing the hobbies I love
  • Travel to at least 3 different cities before December

It may be easier said than done, but with a new attitude and outlook in life, I know I can accomplish all the things I put my mind to this year.

What are some of your goals? If you have a blog of your own, what tips or tricks do you have for remaining consistent with writing and posting content? Leave a comment in the box below!
